🌉 The Minneapolis indie-pop band Hippo Campus was formed in 2013 by five high school students who met while studying jazz and classical music at the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists. The band’s sound is a blend of guitar-driven summer rock with clever vocals and lively instrumentation. Their musical background is evident in their music, and their carefree spirit has been a staple of their sound since the beginning. Hippo Campus released their first EP, Bashful Creatures, in 2015, and have since released three full-length albums, including Landmark in 2017 and LP3 in 2022.
